The Quester's Handbook

Six habits of a seasoned quester — the tricks that turn a Saturday drive into a successful quest.

  1. Map a whole neighborhood in one paste

Neighborhood and HOA sales often list a dozen houses in one post. Paste it once and every address becomes its own stop.

    1. Copy the whole post — Facebook, Nextdoor, a newspaper ad, anything.
    2. On Find, open the Paste tab and tap Extract & add.
    3. The houses appear together under “Neighborhood event.” Tap Add all houses, or pick just the ones you want.
  2. Send listings straight to your quest

Spot a sale on Marketplace or Craigslist? Send it over without copying anything.

    1. Android: add Sales Quester to your home screen, then pick it from any app's Share menu.
    2. iPhone: follow “iPhone: add to Share menu” on the Paste tab to set up a one-time shortcut.
    3. Shared sales land in your results for review — they're never added to your route without you.
  3. Let Wishlist Radar do the reading

Stop scrolling through every description. Tell the app what you're questing for.

    1. Type items like “Pyrex, records, tools” in the Wishlist box on Find.
    2. Matching sales get a gold border and jump to the top.
    3. Flip on “Only show matches” to hide everything else.
  4. Beat the closing times

The best finds go early, and a locked gate is a wasted drive. The Route page warns you before it happens.

    1. Set your start time and starting point on Stops.
    2. On Route, look for stops flagged as late or close to closing.
    3. Tap Beat closing times to preview a new order, then apply it if it looks better.
  5. Pin the cardboard signs

Some of the best sales are never posted online. When you drive past a sign, save it in one tap.

    1. Tap Spotted a sign on the Route page or in Co-pilot.
    2. Your spot is saved with the nearest street address and the time.
    3. Review it later on Find and add it to your route if you want to go back.
  6. Drive with Co-pilot

A big, simple screen for the road — one stop at a time.

    1. Open Co-pilot from the Route page once your route is ready.
    2. Tap Navigate to open Google Maps for the next stop.
    3. Tap Done or Skip and Co-pilot moves to the next one. Start tracing to see where you've been.
